The cape Saint Mathieu lighthouse is located in the city of Plougonvelin, in the vicinity of Brest , Finistere area of Britanny.
Built in 1835 among the ruins of an ancient abbey, this major lighthouse has a 29 nm reach (approx. 34 miles).
