The Sein "great" lighthouse was built between 1950 and 1951.
A former lighthouse, built in 1839, was destroyed in 1944 during WWII.
Built between November 1949 and October1950, this cylinder shaped tower was inaugurated together with its adjacent lodgings on February 16th 1952.
Two plants, one for power and one for desalination, are located nearby and serve the island.
