Lanvaon lighthouse, also called a  range light, is a square and smooth masonry tower with cornerstones.

It was built to replace a light located on Plougerneau's church tower which allowed an alignment with Aber Wrac'h lighthouse. It is a land lighthouse, 2 miles inland from coastline.

Visible from Aber-Wrach northern shore it is located between Plouguerneau and Lilia and shows the aber's entry.

At night, its directional light, white and twinkling, indicates the right course to navigators.

At daytime, it is used as a sea mark thanks to a red and orange triangle placed on its top.
